Install Meeting Copilot
Download the macOS or Windows installer. macOS DMGs are code-signed; Windows ships an NSIS installer.
Run your first session

Troubleshooting
macOS — Microphone & Screen Recording permissions
Both are required. Grant in System Settings → Privacy & Security, then quit and relaunch. New builds need re-grant because TCC keys permissions by code signature.
macOS — “Malformed URL format” when opening the DMG
Gatekeeper rejecting an unsigned/unnotarized container. Right-click the DMG → Open, or run `xattr -cr <path>` to clear quarantine.
“No audio frames received” / voice not detected
The pipeline is alive but the source is silent. Check: speaker output device (Bluetooth headphones bypass loopback on some macOS versions), Microphone permission, and that you're testing with system audio playing (loopback ≠ mic).
macOS permissions checklist
- Quit Meeting Copilot fully (right-click the tray icon → Quit). TCC permissions only apply at process start.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security. Check both:
- Microphone → Meeting Copilot must be ON
- Screen Recording → Meeting Copilot must be ON
- If a previous build already has Screen Recording enabled but the new build still fails, remove and re-add Meeting Copilot via the − /+ buttons. macOS keys permission to the binary signature, which changes between builds.
- Quit and relaunch Meeting Copilot. macOS won't pick up newly-granted permissions until the process restarts.
If the prompts never appeared at all, the build may be missing the entitlement. Reach out to support and include your macOS version + Meeting Copilot version (Tray menu → About).
Why isn't audio being captured?
Meeting Copilot captures system audio loopback — what's playing through your speakers, i.e. the other person's voice on a call. It does not listen to your microphone in continuous Listen mode. If you click Listen and speak into your mic with no other audio playing, the pipeline correctly sees silence.
Quick test: play a YouTube video at normal volume, then click Listen. If transcription appears, permissions are fine and the issue was the test setup. If still nothing, follow the macOS permissions checklist above.
Bluetooth headphones / AirPods: some macOS versions route Bluetooth audio in a way that bypasses ScreenCaptureKit's loopback. If you have wired headphones, test with those before reporting a bug.

Meeting Copilot captures system audio at the OS level via ScreenCaptureKit on macOS and the equivalent loopback path on Windows, so it works with any video conferencing app: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, Discord, Slack huddles, and any other application that plays audio through your computer.
Is Meeting Copilot visible to the other side during a screen share?
No. The overlay is rendered with NSWindowSharingNone on macOS and WDA_EXCLUDEFROMCAPTURE on Windows, which excludes it from screen-capture and screen-share APIs at the OS level. Anyone you share your screen with sees a black rectangle (or nothing) where the overlay lives.
Does Meeting Copilot record my meetings?
Audio is processed live for transcription and routed to your chosen language model for answer drafting. Transcripts and post-call coaching reports are stored in your Meeting Copilot cloud account. Recordings are not retained; only the structured transcript and report.
What operating systems does Meeting Copilot support?
Meeting Copilot ships native installers for macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows (x64). The macOS build is code-signed with a Developer ID certificate; the Windows build is provided as an NSIS installer.

Can Meeting Copilot use my own knowledge base?
Yes. You can upload documents, transcripts of past meetings, and other reference material into your knowledge base. The copilot retrieves relevant context from this material when drafting answers, so the responses match your specific products, customers, and processes.
How does Meeting Copilot handle follow-up questions?
Conversation Mode (on by default) sends the previous question and answer as context to the next question, so the copilot threads naturally across a multi-question conversation. The model treats the whole exchange as one running conversation rather than isolated questions.
What does Meeting Copilot actually show me during an interview?
Short sentences (typically 8–14 words) with the key terms highlighted in bold, plus the notes you pre-loaded for this exact role.
